From February 1, the National Art Museum of Ukraine (NAMU) together with the Estonian startup StampsDaq will start selling NFT tokens based on famous paintings.

About it  reported   the press service of the museum.

They say that NAMU is the first museum in Ukraine that decided to create an NFT collection. The first to present will be tokens based on the works of Alexandra Exter, Vsevolod Maksimovich, Alexander Murashko and Petr Rybka.

“I think that perhaps the biggest role in this project is played by the “added value” of digital art in the NFT format - animated effects that help reveal the context of writing a work, but at the same time make you want to come to the museum and see the original with your own eyes,” says the general Director of the National Art Museum Yulia Litvinets.

The digital art will be available on the STAMPSDAQ marketplace. The price of one token will range from $25 to $1,000, depending on the rarity category and auction demand.

The museum notes that the designers have been working for more than three months to give each of the rarity levels a uniqueness through animation and sound elements.

In addition to the NFT art itself, from March, each buyer will be able to receive additional gifts: tickets to the museum, a tour of the permanent exhibition, a thematic tour of the period in accordance with the purchased NFT token.

It is noted that this auction is the first step in the implementation of the project for the transformation of the artistic heritage of Ukraine into the digital NFT format. Over the next few years, hundreds of Ukrainian museum works are promised to be made available in NFT format.

So, from the second half of February, it is planned to release a series of NFT-art based on the works of Nikolai Pimonenko.

NFT is a digital certificate confirming the right of its owner to own the original of any work of art, usually contemporary, or cultural object.

NFTs are built on a blockchain ecosystem that prioritizes privacy. For unique NFTs for sale, this means that the content is only available to the owners of those NFTs.
