Miss Universo de El Salvador lanza colección NFTs

The Salvadoran Alejandra Guajardo, known worldwide and among the community of  Bitcoin  y  cryptocurrencies --nbsp ;for showing in the contest a typical costume of the country inspired by Bitcoin (BTC); continues its commitment to the crypto ecosystem. The beauty queen has sought to capture the iconography of Bitcoin through  Non-fungible tokens  ( NFT ), and has released a collection of them for the general public.

The Miss Universe has launched a  collection of NFTs in OpenSea . The same show the Salvadoran woman wearing this controversial suit. With more than a dozen photographs presented with the title “ El Salvador , a story through currency gold” ; Alejandra tries to evoke a series of historical images of the coins in the country. The design ranges from cocoa to Bitcoin and how is  cryptocurrency --nbsp ;has become a reference for the Central American nation compared to the rest of the world.

“El Salvador: A Story Told Through Currency” is a limited NFT collection featuring the Miss El Salvador 2023 outfit made from a combination of the country's currencies. The collection explores elements of folklore and evokes historical images of El Salvador's coins. Owning an NFT gives access to private sales and an exclusive community of buyers. It acts as a certificate of authenticity.”

 

 

A total of 36 items are offered, and all self-reference the striking suit was made with different materials. Among them stand out: leatherette, iron, cardboard, leather, rhinestones and fabric. To these are added striking colors of  silver ,  gold  and copper. All relative to the colors of the selected coins.

 

A temporary release

 

According to the local newspaper  El Salvador ; Guajardo announced through his social networks that he would launch said special NFT collection. Miss Universe did so by expressing herself as follows:

 

“As Miss Universe El Salvador, it is an honor to be able to show the rich monetary history of the country through
these unique works of art. Each NFT features a unique representation of El Salvador's currencies over the years, including the latest addition, Bitcoin…”

 

 

According to this source, the beauty queen announced that the “gallery will be available for viewing on Tuesday at 3 pm Pacific time.” Likewise, sales will begin on Wednesday at the same time.

 

The NFTs ally with the miss universe

The Salvadoran case is only one month away from the  recent alliance that  Arity established with Miss Universe  Colombia . In this case the alliance was to enhance the beauty and natural resources of the country. Jewelry created by Arity is backed by a certificate  blockchain .

 

Arity supplies precious stones to prestigious international auction houses, and has ventured into the world of NFTs on several occasions. It is not yet clear if this will become a trend within the world of NFTs, however these cases do not diminish the importance of the commitment of these Miss Universe. Especially in the case of El Salvador where NFTs refer to Bitcoin. These two are communities that sometimes don't mix.
