The Start the Game project launched its own metaverse

The team of the All-Russian competition "Start the game" of the presidential platform - nbsp; “Russia is a country of opportunities”  , together with the project partners, developed the metauniverse of the same name. The online space is available to everyone and allows you to get to know the professions of the gaming industry using popular game mechanics.

One of the trends in the gaming industry in 2022 was the creation of metaverses - online spaces in which real opportunities are transferred - from gaining knowledge and new skills to implementing economic processes.

The team of the All-Russian competition for the search and development of talents in the gaming industry "Start the Game" created - nbsp; with a howling version of the metaverse , in which everyone can conquer the tower - the main symbol of the competition, as well as get detailed information about popular professions in game development.

“Together with our partners, we developed the Start the Game metaverse. This is a great opportunity to draw the attention of young people to the professions of the game industry and introduce them to the prospects for self-realization. Familiar game mechanics are captivating and exciting, while integrated specialization information from current industry professionals inspires and provides answers to the most frequently asked questions. Of course, this is not the final version, and our space will continue to be filled with information and opportunities for participants and those who are just planning their first steps in game development”  - said the head of the All-Russian competition "Start the game" - nbsp; Maryam Karpova .

In addition to conquering the tower and getting information about the project and professions in the gaming industry, guests of the metaverse can communicate in it, hold joint events - pitching, presentations, round tables and even concerts.

The developers of the space, in addition to the Start the Game project team, included representatives of the Black Caviar Games game studio and the Russian IT holding Demedia. To date, the Demedia team under the leadership of   Yuri Zaryadnov , head of immersive technologies and digital learning, who initiated the creation of the Start the Game metaverse, is also developing a domestic platform for creating virtual spaces, which will replace foreign sites without compromising quality and content.

“The Start the Game Metaverse is an ongoing educational virtual space where people can interact with each other and with digital objects through their avatars. This virtual space allows game developers to learn "in a new way", users themselves do not notice how they acquire knowledge. The metaverse also allows you to meet with friends remotely, communicate, hold quests, competitions, and even joint lectures, seminars, etc. And entering it is very simple - you just need to follow the link from a standard browser. Moreover, it is also possible to visit the “Start the Game” metaverse in a virtual reality helmet, which will provide even more opportunities, and such immersiveness allows you to look at the educational process in a completely different way,   – shared the developer of the virtual space   Bogdan Kirmasov , Project Manager of the Directorate of Immersive Technologies and Digital Learning at Demedia LLC. -  At the beginning, the guest chooses one of the three paths of the labyrinth - the profession of the gaming industry. There is no wrong specialization, each path will lead the player to the cup if he gives the correct answers to questions within the chosen professional path. After answering correctly and passing the maze, the player approaches the base of the tower. Next, he needs to climb to the top, where the cup itself is located. When the player climbs to the top of the tower, he himself does not even suspect that his education continues - he learns different game mechanics, ranging from simple walking with the keyboard to teleportation.

At the top of the tower, players will find a goblet, which has a special link attached to it, which, by clicking on it, will bring new users 100 additional points on the Start the Game platform.

As a reminder, registration for participation in the Start the Game contest continues until 23.59 (Moscow time) on December 15, 2022. After that, you can register on the platform without the right to participate in the competitive program.
