What is Blockchain Gaming?
Blockchain games must include blockchain technology to be classed as blockchain games. The games usually incorporate NFTs for gaming assets and crypto tokens for in-game currency. They are now also being built entirely on-chain.
The use of NFTs and tokens allows for a much richer player experience. It’s exciting to say that there aren’t many genres of games yet to make it to blockchain. We now have laid the foundations with some incredibly playable games, and with more funding finding its way into the industry, there has to be so much more to come.
Blockchain games now come as Multiplayer, Metaverse Lands, MMORPGs, and RPGs, to name a few. There has also been a rise in Free to Play games, creating an incredibly low barrier for entry.

— A broad but easy-to-understand term, multiplayer or “Massively Multiplayer Online” games allow for large groups of players from all over the world to fight, socialise, compete and more.
