Curto News creates news channel to cover the metaverse

Curto News, a newstech launched in July this year, launched a news channel that will focus on events in the metaverse, called "NewsVerso", with the aim of democratizing access to the virtual world and making the topic more accessible.

Created by Leo Burnett Tailor Made, the project follows the same editorial pattern as Curto News and is a “born social” digital product, anchored in videos and short texts, but which offers the option of deepening the audience through its own content and curation. The agency was also responsible for the entire visual identity of the portal and logo.

“The intensity of life in the metaverse is impressive, which attracts more and more people, companies and institutions. This other world keeps growing, it starts to be part of our lives, and NewsVerso is there, live, to tell this story. This is our first dedicated channel and we are very happy to have Leo Burnett as our first partner”, said João Caminoto, founder of Curto News.

Launching in the same week as the start of the FIFA World Cup, NewsVerso was born with news related to the world of football in the metaverse, but will also cover all matters and police cases, such as sexual harassment, racism and homophobia. The newsroom is made up of a team of journalists from Curto News.

In addition to the news channel, which will be expanded over the coming months, NewsVerso will have a version within the metaverse.
