The Ministry of Internal Affairs proposed the creation of cyber teams to organize order checks in the metaverses

The VR and AR systems that are being sold and are currently being used can have a destructive effect on users, Alexander Smirnov, a representative of the All-Russian Research Institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, believes. He insisted on the governing law of the metaverses.

Smirnov stated that it is necessary to label computer and other entertainment content as an addition to existing age restrictions. In his opinion, it is necessary to create cyber squads endowed with legal status. Volunteers will search the web for destructive content.

In September of this year, the Federation Council hosted a round table on the legal aspects of the regulation of the metaverses. Parliamentarians  stated that the state should take responsibility for storing critical information. Member of the Federation Council Alexei Sinitsyn said that it is necessary to regulate metauniverses in the country, but control should not hinder the development of technologies and their implementation.
